Extensions OpenGL disponibles sur différents appareils Android

Je suis en train d'écrire un framework basé sur OpenGL ES pour mes prochains jeux Android Android). Actuellement, je supporte trois techniques différentes de dessin de sprites:

  • la méthode de base: utiliser tableaux de vertex (lent)
  • en utilisant vertex-buffer-objects (VBOs) (plus rapide)
  • en utilisant l'extension draw_texture (la plus rapide, mais uniquement pour les sprites de base, c'est-à-dire sans transformation)

Les tableaux de sommets sont pris en charge dans OpenGL ES 1.0 et donc dans tous les appareils Android. Je suppose que la plupart (sinon la totalité) des appareils actuels prennent également en charge les VBO et draw_texture.

Au lieu de deviner, j'aimerais connaître les extensions prises en charge par différents appareils. Si la majorité des appareils prennent en charge les VBO, je pourrais simplifier mon code et me concentrer uniquement sur les VBO + draw_texture.

Il serait utile de savoir quels sont les différents appareils pris en charge, donc si vous avez un appareil Android, signalez la liste des extensions s'il vous plaît. :)

J'inclus la version récupérée par:
gl.glGetString(GL10.GL_VERSION)

C'est assez intéressant car il ne suit pas les spécifications. Le profil est censé être avant le numéro. Il est également nécessaire de déterminer les capacités. Par exemple, le Droid ne signale pas le support VBO dans sa liste d'extensions. Il rapporte cependant une version OpenGL ES de 1.1. Cela signifie qu'il prend en charge les VBO, car les VBO ont été rendus obligatoires dans la version 1.1.

Je pensais que les performances reproduiraient celles du Nexus. Il a le même rendu/processeur après tout. L'écran est TFT au lieu d'OLED, mais la même résolution. Cependant, l'un de mes jeux qui prend 16-18 ms par image sur le N1 prend 33-34 ms. Je n'ai pas encore cherché pourquoi. Le nombre ressemble étrangement à ce qu'il serait si l'écran ne fonctionnait qu'à 30 Hz au lieu de 60 Hz. Mais je ne l'ai pas encore confirmé.

Je viens de saisir l'appareil du bureau du collègue et de lire rapidement la chaîne d'extension, je n'ai pas eu la chance d'obtenir la version OpenGL (devrait être "OpenGL ES 2.0") et le rendu (devrait être "NVIDIA Tegra 3").
