Comment ajouter une image à un conteneur svg à l'aide de D3.js

J'ai créé un exemple d'application Asp.Net MVC 4 dans lequel j'ai utilisé D3.js pour ajouter un élément SVG, puis à l'intérieur du SVG, j'ai ajouté un élément de texte (voir le code ci-dessous). Tout cela fonctionne bien jusqu'à ce que j'essaye d'ajouter un img au SVG en utilisant un fichier png local. L'img est ajouté au DOM, mais l'img n'est pas affiché sur la page. Des idées que je fais mal ici, et comment s'y prendre pour les réparer?

@ Richard Marr - Vous trouverez ci-dessous une tentative de faire la même chose en HTML simple, ce qui me donne le même résultat. Je ne suis pas sûr de mon code pour obtenir le fichier refresh.png à partir du lecteur local de cette façon.

En SVG (en contraste avec HTML), vous voudrez utiliser <image> au lieu de <img> pour les éléments.

Essayez de changer votre dernier bloc avec:

Mon équipe souhaitait également ajouter des images dans des cercles d3, et a proposé ce qui suit ( violon ):
