VPN PPTP se déconnecte après une période aléatoire

Je n'arrive pas à garder ma connexion VPN en vie. J'utilise Ubuntu 14.04 64bit sur un Toshiba Protege R30-A-17E.

La connexion VPN s'éteint après une période de temps aléatoire, que je l'utilise ou non. J'ai essayé quelques trucs que j'ai découverts ici ou sur certains forums mais ça ne cesse de baisser. J'ai essayé de désactiver n'importe quel type de compression et d'activer l'option "envoyer des paquets d'écho ppp". J'ai même essayé d'utiliser un adaptateur réseau USB Apple et toujours pas de chance.

Est-ce que quelqu'un a une idée de ce qui se passe ici?

J'ai 2 ordinateurs portables différents, tous deux sous Ubuntu 14.04 64bits (en fait, l'un d'eux utilise Xubuntu, mais c'est fondamentalement la même chose).

Ces deux ordinateurs portables présentent exactement le même comportement lorsque le VPN se déconnecte de manière aléatoire après avoir enregistré quelque chose du type "fermeture de la connexion de contrôle en raison d'une réponse d'écho manquante" à syslog.

J'ai aussi un petit netbook sur lequel j'ai installé #! 11 (qui exécute toujours le noyau 3.2 btw). Avec exactement la même configuration, le VPN n’a pas été déconnecté depuis un peu plus de 10 heures et la seule raison pour laquelle il s’est déconnecté du VPN est parce que je le lui ai dit.

Alors .. est-ce que cela pourrait être un problème Ubuntu 14.04? ou un problème de noyau? ou un problème de version de lib?

Il est probable que le serveur VPN ne prend pas en charge certaines fonctionnalités de compression. Si le serveur est basé sur Windows, essayez de désactiver PPP l'envoi de paquets d'écho. Désactiver également la compression BSD, la compression Deflate et la compression d'en-tête TCP peut résoudre le problème. Si le problème persiste, l'erreur DNS peut en être la cause.
